Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production automation workflows in n8n that orchestrate data across SaaS tools, databases, and internal APIs for client engagements.
- Integrate third-party APIs (for example CRM, accounting, messaging, and document systems), including authentication, error handling, retries, and rate-limit-aware design.
- Write reusable Python or JavaScript helpers and custom nodes where native integrations are unavailable, following team conventions on versioning and code review.
- Monitor production workflows, diagnose failures promptly, and deliver durable fixes that address the root cause rather than the surface symptom.
- Document every delivered system with architecture diagrams, runbooks, a credential inventory, and clear handover notes so the customer and support team can operate it confidently.
- Coordinate directly with the technical sales and delivery teams to scope, estimate, and validate automation requirements before build begins.
Requirements
- At least two years of hands-on experience building automation workflows in n8n (or a comparable workflow orchestration platform) for production use.
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript, with the ability to write clean, maintainable helper code and debug existing scripts.
- Practical experience with low-code database backends such as Baserow, Airtable, or Supabase, including schema design and filtered queries.
- Demonstrated experience consuming REST and webhook APIs, including OAuth flows, pagination, and resilient error handling.
- Strong written English for documentation, runbooks, and asynchronous communication with a distributed team.
- Self-disciplined remote work habits, including clear status reporting, structured handovers, and reliable availability during agreed working hours.
